James Avery	"It is vital that parents are encouraged to seek help when it's needed, and that an organization like Parents Anonymous^® Inc. exists in order to provide that help." Star of stage, screen and television, James Avery is well known for his role as 'Phillip Banks' on "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." Mr. Avery appears in a recurring role in TNT's "The Closer" and has recently appeared on Showtime's "Soul Food," and in a recurring role as 'Lucas' in UPN's "All of Us," executive produced by former cast mate Will Smith.
Marno Batterson	"Parents Anonymous^® Inc.'s expertise on Parent Leadership has helped to shape the reform of the child welfare system by involving parents as decision-makers." Marno Batterson has worked in public child welfare for over 25 years. She received the Commissioner's Award for Outstanding Leadership and Services in the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration on Children, Youth and Families.
Dennis Franz	"Being a parent is the most important job anyone can have and it's essential that parents have a place to go when in need of help. Parents Anonymous^® Groups provide a safe haven for anyone in a parenting role." Dennis Franz has amassed a mantle full of accolades for his performance as Detective Andy Sipowitz on "NYPD Blue," four of which are Emmys for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He has appeared in films such as "City of Angeles" and "American Buffalo."
Bob Goen	"I was a single dad until recently and know full well, not only the great joys of parenting, but also the difficulties and frustrations. I love being able to help Parents Anonymous^® Inc. fulfill its mission to strengthen families." Bob is well known for his many years as co-host of "Entertainment Tonight," the Number One magazine show in syndication. In addition, he hosted CBS-TV's daytime version of "Wheel of Fortune," and from 1993-96 was the master of ceremonies for the worldwide telecasts of the "Miss Universe," "Miss USA" and "Miss Teen USA" Pageants.
Catherine Hicks	"For over 38 years, Parents Anonymous^® Inc. has provided groups where issues can be discussed, problems can be solved, and parents can help and support each other." Catherine Hicks has become the role model of the modern mom-as-complete woman with her role as 'Annie Camden,' preacher's wife and mother of seven on WB's "7^th Heaven," the longest running family show in the history of television. As a working mother, Ms. Hicks understands the pleasures and pressures of parenthood.
Lucy Johnson	"The role Parents Anonymous^® Inc. plays in developing Parent Leaders is an important element, not only in the creation of uniquely effective parenting programs, but in developing self-esteem in those men and women who take on leadership roles, both at home and in the community." As CBS-TV's recent Senior Vice President, Daytime/Children's Programming and Special Projects for CBS Entertainment, Lucy Johnson had overall responsibility for the entire CBS Daytime schedule that has been in the precedent-setting Number One position for more than 13 consecutive years. She also oversees the CBS Saturday Morning line-up.
David Mills	"Parents Anonymous^® Inc. has always had a special bond with parents that is based on mutual trust and understanding and this vital national organization continues to have an incredibly positive impact in strengthening families all across the country." A renowned leader in the field of child welfare, David Mills brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Advisory Council. Mr. Mills has worked as the Executive Director of the National Alliance of Children's Trust and Prevention Funds and also the Michigan Children's Trust and Prevention Funds.
Craig T. Nelson	"The role Parents Anonymous^® Inc. plays in developing Parent Leaders is an important element, not only in the creation of uniquely effective parenting programs, but in developing self-esteem in those men and women who take on leadership roles, both at home and in the community." Most recently starring in the feature films "Blades of Glory" and "The Family Stone," Craig T. Nelson is the former star (Jack Mannion) of CBS-TV's "The District." A man of many talents including actor, writer, director and producer, he is also the voice of "Bob Parr" aka "Mr. Incredible" in the Disney/Pixar film "The Incredibles." Mr. Nelson has received three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for "Coach," which ran for nine seasons, and received the Emmy for the 1991-1992 season.
Phylicia Rashad	Phylicia Rashad showed her commitment to strengthening families by recording a national public service announcement for Parents Anonymous^® Inc. Best known for her role as 'Claire Huxtable' on "The Cosby Show" and as 'Ruth Lucas' on the CBS sitcom "Cosby," Phylicia Rashad received the NAACP Image Award for "Best Actress in a Comedy Series" for both of these roles. Ms. Rashad began her involvement with Parents Anonymous^® Inc. when she recorded a national public service announcement.
William Waldman	"Since 1969, Parents Anonymous^® Inc. has served to strengthen families and keep children safe. Parents all over the country are finding the support they need through Parents Anonymous^® Groups and are becoming better parents and community members because of it." William Waldman brings his extensive expertise in the child welfare field to the Advisory Council. Presently, Mr. Waldman is teaching graduate courses at the School of Social Work, Rutgers University, New Jersey. Mr. Waldman previously served as Commissioner of New Jersey Department of Human Services and as the Director of the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services - the state's child welfare agency.
Jacklyn Zeman	“The importance of providing opportunities for parents to take on leadership roles cannot be underestimated. Parents Anonymous^® Inc.'s commitment to this essential concept is helping to positively transform the lives of thousands of families nationwide.” With over 4,000 episodes as Chief Surgical RN 'Bobbie Spencer' on ABC-TV's "General Hospital," Jacklyn Zeman has become a true contemporary role model to millions of daytime viewers. She has received four Daytime Emmy nominations, including one for Outstanding Lead Actress in 1998. The mother of two teen daughters, Ms. Zeman is a passionate advocate of education and holds a strong belief that education is the key to unlocking the door to one's goals.
