organizations and foundations to increase

Because of our demonstrated expertise in Parent Leadership and Shared Leadership, The Texas Department of Protective and Family Services selected Parents Anonymous® Inc. to provide a comprehensive program of training and technical assistance to Texas Community Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP) programs responsible for developing and sustaining local Community Partnerships for Strengthening Families in six different locations. The six sites have implemented the Shared Leadership in Action Program to engage parents in unique partnerships with staff through community assessment processes, formal Shared Leadership trainings and development of a wide variety of meaningful leadership roles for parents. As a result, the Community Partnerships are establishing strong continuums of preventive, family-focused services in their local communities. |

Parents Anonymous® Inc. is moving ahead and developing an innovative Parents in Action project which involves the training of parents to take on leadership roles as advocates for families and children in Pomona. Through this initiative, parents will learn to use their voice to create powerful, positive changes in their communities. Equally important, parents and professionals will learn to effectively partner together and develop achievable plans to positively impact schools, health care systems, social service agencies, government entities and overall community well-being. |
