We are thrilled to announce that Patty Enciso, a Parents Anonymous® Parent Leader and Jolly K. recipient, was featured on Good Morning America (ABC-TV) on Monday, August 15, 2005.

The ABC crew, along with ABC overnight and morning anchor Heather Cabot, spent a day in Pomona, where they filmed Patty at home with her family, did individual interviews with Patty and her daughter Crystal, and filmed a Parents Anonymous® group at the First Christian Church.

Patty's story is one of great hardship and great courage, only a small portion of which was explored in the interview. Abused as a child, Patty was in and out of foster homes and had her first child as a single mother at 19. Patty continued the cycle of abuse with Crystal. As she discusses in the GMA segment, Patty realized that she need help and found a Parents Anonymous® group. With the support of other parents and her own determination to be a better parent, Patty turned her life around. She is always willing to share her personal story so that others will know they are not alone. Patty is an inspiration to all those who know her and a great role model for her children.

We are very excited about this opportunity for Parents Anonymous® Inc. to be in the national spotlight. A segment on Good Morning America means that millions of people learned about Parents Anonymous® and that help is available. We encourage parents to take that important step and reach out for help. It takes strength and courage, but can make the difference in providing a safe and nurturing home for your family.
