We are seeking parents who:
- Are experiencing the benefit in their own lives of their work with family support programs and any other activities in which they participate.
- Can speak about their own experiences and relate them to the broader issues faced by many California families and children.
- Willing and able to make a commitment to participate in one designated state Committee or Task Force on an ongoing basis for monthly meetings
- Willing and able to attend all required team meetings, trainings and teleconferences.
- Can build mutually respectful relationships with others from diverse ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.
- Has had positive experiences participating in community activities such as serving on advisory groups, boards of directors, planning groups, policy councils, etc.
Nomination Process:
- The prospective Team member must complete a Parent Nomination Form
- The prospective Team member must submit two (2) references along with the Nomination form:
- One letter of reference needs to come from an agency/organization where the parent has benefited from family support program services
- One letter of reference needs to come from an organization with which the parent has served (e.g., policy council, advisory group, board of directors, planning group, etc.)
- Both the Parent Nomination Form and References Must be submitted to Parents Anonymous® Inc. by e-mail, mail or fax by October 26, 2007.
- Parents Anonymous® Inc. staff and CDSS staff will review all Nomination forms received
- Final applicants will be selected for telephone interviews by Parents Anonymous® Inc.
